Major Changes & New Features

• Custom User-Inputted Tasks - Added a way to add your own custom Skill and Other tasks to the Chunk Picker. Perfect for people who require specific levels that aren't related to any specific task before moving on from a chunk. Add a custom task by clicking the 'Manually Add To My Chunks' button below your active tasks, then selecting 'Custom User-Inputted Tasks'.
• Manually Enabled Primary Training - Added a way to turn on Primary training for a given skill. Good if you just want to see all tasks for a skill, even if you don't have a 'valid' way to train the skill yet. Enable it via the cogs icon next to the skill in the Activity Info window.
• Everything from the Araxxor update is now also live! Be warned that many droprates are still unknown.

• Added the ability to choose a custom color for the border of your unlocked chunks! Currently it's the thick red line on your map, but now you can choose any color via the Settings window

Major Changes & New Features

• Group Map Support - Ever try to watch your friend roll their next chunk on their chunk picker map, but it doesn't update until you reload the page? Playing a group-ironman chunk account with others and using the same map? With today's update, the chunk picker map will now stay updated in realtime with any changes happening on the map, including what others are doing!
• Patch Notes Archive - There now exists an archive of all previous patch notes! They'll always be linked at the bottom of the current patch notes, or you can find it at https://source-chunk.github.io/chunk-picker-v2/?patch-notes
• Mobile Chunk Info - Support has now been added for checking chunk info, blacklisting chunks, and adding stickers to chunks on mobile! Just load up the site on your mobile device, open the mobile-menu, tap the 'Select Chunk for Action' button, and tap the chunk you want to interact with!
• Customizable Topbar - The topbar (that toolbar-looking-thing at the top of every map) now has support for customizing which actions are displayed on it! Open the settings dropdown and click on the 'Customize Topbar' option to get started!

Major Changes & New Features

• Chunk Sections - Chunk Sections are the parts that make up a whole chunk, created by a river or fence separating a chunk into pieces. Now that we are able to determine not just what chunks you have access to, but what part of those chunks you have access to, we can much more accurately generate tasks and more! (This feature was a very big undertaking, and surely will have some issues. Report any you find using the Bug Report link in the top bar).

• Mobile Support - Added much better support for the Chunk Picker on mobile, allowing for nearly everything that can be done on the desktop site to be done on the mobile site too!
• BiS Images - Added equipment images to the BiS Equipment window, to more easily check out what gear is listed there visually.
• Map Overlays - Added an Overlays button at the bottom-left of the map, to show different overlays overtop your chunk map.
• Chunk Notes Markdown - Changed the Chunk Notes window to have basic support for markdown, allowing more options to customize what you want to display there.
• Chunk Numbering - Changed the way that Selected chunk numbering works, so now it stays the same between reloads of the page. This will cut out confusion when other people look at your map also, since the numbers will be the same for you and them.
• RS3 Friends - Added the ability to add both OSRS and RS3 Chunk Maps to your Chunk Picker Friends List.
• Backend Logic - Overhauled the underlying logic for handling special characters in task and item names.

• Added the All Tasks option, which creates a list of all intermediate skill tasks to be checked off. The list can be turned on in the Settings window, and can be used in the Activity Info window.
• Added a setting to prevent accidentally unlocking chunks. Turn this setting on, and now chunks can only be click-unlocked when holding the Shift key! If you find yourself accidentally unlocking chunks, this might be the setting for you.

• New Themes - Just in time for the end of Autumn, there is now an Autumn theme, alongside a Winter theme, that can enhance your chunk map! Try them out in the Setting window.
• Notepad - There is now a notepad on the website, perfect for jotting down any notes you might have related to your map, both for yourself and for others to see! Access the notepad on the top bar, next to the Discord and Patreon icons.
• New Tasks for This Chunk - Do you have a long list of tasks, and want to know what tasks are new every time you roll a chunk? Now you can know! Turn the option on in the Settings window and see any new tasks you have after rolling your next chunk.
• Lock Mahogany Homes - When you unlock the Mahogany Homes minigame, and are assigned a task outside of your chunks, now you can lock those tasks from appearing until you gain access to that chunk. Try it out via the Activity Info window in the Mahogany Homes tab.

Major Changes & New Features

• Custom Themes - Now available in the settings window, custom themes for the website! Themes include the standard light and dark themes, as well as an old-school terminal theme, a neon 80's theme, a monochrome theme, and even a spooky pumpkin theme!
• Backlog Options - Replacing the previously available 'Backlog w/ Note' feature, Backlog Options can let you either backlog the single task, or directly backlog source any of the components, straight from the backlog window.
• Non-Auto Task Calculation - Chunk Tasks being automatically calculated on every change has been removed (in most cases). Now, when you backlog a task, or unlock an area, or change a rule, your tasks will not update until you click the 'Calculate Tasks' button at the top of your Active Chunk Tasks panel. This change has been added especially to help make backlogging multiple tasks smoother going forward.
• Fill POH Rule - This new Chunk Rule requires you to fill your POH Costume Room with all the possible non-quest gear that you can within your chunks. A perfect rule for any completionists out there!
• Small Calculation Optimization - Some small changes to the way tasks are calculated have been made to hopefully speed up medium-to-large map calculation times.

• Added Combat Achievements! They can be turned on in Chunk Rules (they're off by default), under the Diary section near the top, and behave similarly to how any other Diary task would.
• Added stab/slash/crush options for melee BiS tasks. Replaces melee BiS tasks with specific tasks for each melee style instead. If you have flinch BiS or defensive BiS selected as well, they will also be replaced with stab/slash/crush variants.

Major Changes & New Features

• Added Quest & Diary Progress tabs, where you can keep track of how far you've gotten in every quest and diary. You can even filter the quests to only see your completed ones, or only your in-progress ones, etc. Check out these new tabs in the 'Activity Info' window!
• Added quest xp rewards! Now when you're able to complete a quest in your chunks, the xp rewards from completing it are tracked, and might give you new, higher level tasks if they unlock a training method.
• In addition to normal quest xp rewards, some quest xp is given in the form of a choice between multiple skills, or a lamp to be used in any skill. These rewards are also tracked, and you'll be prompted to enter the choice you made after checking off relevant tasks.
• Overhauled the way that passive leveling works; now, setting a passively gained level in a skill will not only show tasks up to that level, but if you unlock a training method, now it'll show tasks above too!
• In addition to the previously mentioned change on passive leveling, now items that are produced at a level lower than your highest level task are tracked, and can now be used for things like quests/diaries/more.

Changes

• Added the ability to add 'passively' trained skills. This feature is useful for skills that you don't have access to a primary training method yet, but want to train the skill anyway to unlock something or for a quest requirement. You can add passively trained skills in the 'Activity Info' window.
• Added the option to fully expand the Chunk Tasks panel into a full-height sidebar. You can turn this setting on within the Settings window. As part of this change, the "Show Chunk ID's" button was moved to the settings menu as well, and allowed the default view of the Chunk Tasks panel to be larger as well.

• Separated the 'Current BIS/Skill Info' button into 2 different buttons/windows. Check your current BIS gear and add new gear with the new 'Current BIS' button, and explore primary training methods, clue scroll statistics, and Slayer locking with the new 'Activity Info' button.
• Added a new Chunk Rule under the Collection Log Section: Clue Scrolls! The rule is for more extreme-type accounts, and will require you to fill all collection log slots within a given clue tier once you have all of that tier steps unlocked. (Once all beginner steps are doable, you need to get all beginner uniques, once all easy steps are doable you'll need all easy uniques, etc.)
• Added search categories to the 'Search Within my Chunks' window. Try searching for ~food or ~boost or ~tool or ~herblore to try it out (and please let me know of any other categories you'd like to see!)
• Changed the behavior when manually adding a skill task. Before, adding a skill task to a skill you didn't have access to would unlock the entire skill. Now, it will only do so if you add a task that counts as a primary way to train the skill too.
• Added a new Chunk Rule to determine whether building furniture inside your POH counts as a primary way to train Construction. This is now a separate rule from the already existing Rule about POH furniture counting as Chunk Tasks in general.

New Features

• Quest & Diary Chunk Tasks: Quest & Diary chunk tasks are finally here! Keep track of your quest and achievement diary progress as you unlock chunks. (Turn it on in the Chunk Rules window if it isn't already).
• Quest, Diary, & Favour Unlocks: Closely related to the Quest & Diary chunk tasks, now there is specific tracking on many quest-locked (and similar) shops (Heroes' Guild shop, White Knight Armoury), weapons/armour (dragon dagger, rune platebody), monsters (lizardman shamans, zogres), and more. These will no longer show up as chunk tasks *until* you're able to complete their respective quests.
• Fancy Chunk Rolling: A brand new, fancy way to roll chunks. Enable/disable it in the settings menu.
• Friends List: Tucked away in the top-right dropdown menu, the Friends List feature helps you keep track of your friends or your favorite content creators and their chunk maps! Create a list of quick-to-access maps of your friends, to quickly jump to their maps and see what they've been up to recently (just for convenience mostly).

Small Changes

• Added drop-rates to the monster drops within the Search My Chunks feature.
• Added a clue scroll data section to the left-side Chunk Info Panel, in place of the Diary Steps section. It shows how many new clue steps are possible when unlocking the selected chunk.

• Slayer Locking: This feature is perfect for when you get an undoable Slayer task (within your current chunks), and you don't want to have to backlog every Slayer-related task between now and whenever you finally are able to do the Task you're stuck on. Set the Slayer task you're stuck on (or manually lock it) as well as your current Slayer level. Slayer will still locked until you roll into a chunk that lets you do your task. Alternatively, you can manually unlock Slayer at any time.
• Clue Stats: A simple feature, the Clue Stats shows you the number of clue steps you can complete within your chunks, as well as your chances of being able to complete each given clue tier within your chunks.
• Manually Add Monsters: If you're an account that allows luring monsters into your chunks from other chunks, then this feature is for you. It's as simple as it sounds; just add the monster to your chunks and any relevant tasks related to the monster will appear correctly.
• Missing Reqs: An add-on to the "Manually Add Tasks" feature, if you're ever not sure why a task isn't showing up for you, now you can check! Just navigate to the "Manually Add Tasks" window, find the task in question, and click the info-icon next to it to see what you're missing (highlighted in red).
• Task Alternatives: This feature is perfect for checking if a given task has equivalent alternatives at the same level (ex: wielding a willow longbow vs willow shortbow, or mining clay instead of mining tin, etc.). Find it in the same dropdown menu as "Backlog" and "Details". You can even set the alternative task as the one that shows by default instead!
• Only Mark Walkable Chunks: A little QOL feature, this setting will make it so that only valid walkable neighboring chunks will be automatically selected when rolling a chunk. No more having to unmark ocean chunks and more!
• Chunk-roll History: Found in the top-right settings menu, this window will show you a full history of all your previously rolled chunks, with Date and Time, in order. Note that if you've had your map for a while, it won't show chunks rolled before we started tracking it.
• Weight-Reducing BiS: Another option for BiS tasks, this one lets you require weight-reducing gear (like graceful, boots of lightness, etc.) be acquired.
• Ranged Ammo Fix: There has been a lot of confusion since the release of the BiS tasks about why the Ranged Ammo BiS tasks shows weird tasks sometimes, like showing rune javelins as BiS ammo, even without being able to use the javelins yet. With this change, that is finally fixed, and your BiS ammo will only count for ammo you can actually use with your currently available ranged weapons.
• Secondary MTA: A niche feature, this Chunk Rule lets you set MTA (Magic Training Arena) tasks to only appear when you have a Primary source of the necessary runes, rather than requiring the MTA tasks even with Secondary runes sources. The rule is set to off (only Primary sources) by default.

Introducing a brand new feature: the ability to Backlog Sources!
Ever come across a monster in your chunks that you just physically can't kill with your current chunks (like the Kalphite Queen or metal dragons)? Ever finding yourself backlogging 10 different tasks just because of 1 shop or monster you can't reach yet? With the Backlog Sources panel, now you can backlog all of those things in a single swoop! Just search for the item, object, monster, npc, or shop you need backlogged, and then tick it off the list. Afterwards, drops from that monster/items from that shop/etc. won't affect your chunk tasks, until you decide to unbacklog it in the same way.
The Backlog Sources panel can be opened from inside the 'Backlog' section, just below the 'Active Chunk Tasks'.

• Added the ability to add stickers to your chunks! Now you can denote if a chunk is bad to roll, good to roll, time-consuming, and lots more. You can add stickers by holding the Control Key (Ctrl) on your keyboard and hovering over the chunk you want to add a sticker to. Clicking on the tag icon will let you assign a sticker then, and the same can be done to remove or change an existing sticker.
• Changed the way you blacklist chunks, so now a blacklist button appears when holding the Control Key (Ctrl) while hovering over a locked chunk. Clicking that button will blacklist and un-blacklist the chunk as usual.

• Added a Sandbox Mode that lets you mess around with your map (unlock/roll chunks, change rules, backlog tasks, etc), and as soon as sandbox mode is turned off, everything will switch back to the way it was before. Great for trying stuff out before committing to it, or for planning routes on your map. Turn it on in the settings menu, and turn it off again the same way (or by hitting the Esc cape). Oh, and you can mess around with other people's maps too, if you want to (none of it will save of course)
• Added Combat level skill tasks: Getting slayer tasks from masters and boarding landers for Pest Control. Slayer master tasks only require you to get the lowest combat level of any of your unlocked masters, while Pest Control landers require you to get 40 combat to access the minigame (or 100 combat if the new chunk rule is turned on)
• Added armour set effects to the BiS calculations for the chunk picker. Now things like Void armour, Obsidian armour, Crystal armour, and more will correctly be shown as BiS when their set effects make them BiS.

Nothing hugely specific today in terms of what you'll experience on the Chunk Picker yourself, but I've done a big overhaul of the security of the project as a whole after someone pointed out a potential issue with it, so now going forward things will be a bit more secure. (I will continue to advise you not to use the same PIN as you have anywhere else though, just as a good practice in general).
However, as an added bonus of revisiting the security side of things, I went ahead and extended the 4 digit PIN maximum length, so now PIN's can be any mix of alphanumeric characters between 4 and 8 long. You shouldn't have to change anything if you don't want to, your old PIN's should work fine.
That being said, I'd recommend everyone take the chance to verify that you can still log-in to your maps, even if you don't intent on changing the pins or anything, just to be sure that this update to the security hasn't affected your ability to log-in. And please let me know if it has, and we can get right on fixing it.

New update for the chunk picker, there is now a chunk info panel that shows information on specific chunks! Just right click on the chunk you'd like to see info on. Note: currently the data is basically non-existent (besides lumbridge castle chunk), which is where we'll all need to come together and work on building up the infobase of all the chunks. If you want to contribute anything, whether that be full data for a chunk or just a missing npc you noticed, please contribute your information at: (link removed).
Also in the update, I added same caps on scaling for larger windows so the buttons don't get giant on bigger screens and you can see the map underneath easier. as always, please let me know of any issues you find and feel free to join us at #chunk-req-tech if you have any input or questions on the infobase mission

In 2 days it will be 6 months since the chunk picker has been in full release, and as a bit of a treat for 6 months, I've added in mobile support for the chunk picker! Just head to the normal site as you normally would and use it on your phone now! You can pick chunks, browse your map, and even see the leaderboard all from your phone. Due to the screen size however, just note that you won't be able to change any of your settings or even open the settings menu, and the recently unlocked section has been disabled on mobile only.

• Case-sensitive alphanumeric pins (your old pins will still work, no need to panic)

New features to Chunk Picker V2 1.0 (officially not in Beta anymore):

• A recently unlocked chunks tab that lists the 5 last chunks you unlocked (from here on out). Never again will you forget what grind you were working on a month ago before you took a break! Clicking on each will highlight and zoom your window over to that chunk, so no need to know chunk ID's!
• Tab titles now also display the map ID for easy discerning if multiple maps are open.
• Some small bugs have been fixed with chunk numbering and button visibility. Please DM me on Discord if you find any bugs yourself so they can get fixed!
